H.E. Mohammed Nekhaira Al-Dhaheri

Principal Founder-Head of Government Controversy

His Excellency Mohammed Bin Nakhira Al-Dhaheri is the principal founder of the firm. He began his career in the fields of law and judiciary after graduating from the College of Sharia and Law at the United Arab Emirates University in 1982.

 

After his graduation, he joined the military judiciary and became a member thereof after he received specialized training and courses in the field of military justice, both in investigation and judicial proceedings, until he became deputy director of military justice with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. 

 

He was then appointed attorney general of the Federal Public Prosecution, where he was involved in developing the judicial system in administrative and technical areas. He remained in office until February 24, 1997, when he was appointed Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, thus becoming the first member of the judiciary to head the Ministry of Justice of the United Arab Emirates.

 

During his tenure as Minister and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, he set out to improve the judicial system in the Ministry of Justice and to regulate and develop work in Islamic affairs. 

 

He also signed several bilateral agreements with Arab countries and other friendly countries in the field of legal and judicial cooperation, and chaired the Higher Ministerial Committee for Federal Legislation, which earned him accumulated practical experience in the preparation and drafting of texts of laws.

 

After the end of his tenure at the head of the Ministry on February 16, 2008, he was appointed Ambassador of the UAE to the Arab Republic of Egypt and a permanent delegate to the League of Arab States.
